Virtual Concerts (Vol 1 + Vol 2)
Project Type
Virtual Show
Release Date
March and May 2022
Wave worked with Virtual Artist Teflon Sega to create 2 virtual interactive shows (Vol 1 + 2) that were performed live.
In addition to general show structure, timeline sequencing, and managing overall performance (target 60fps on PC), I created many of the effects and tools in the production of these shows:
-
Zoetrope Effect (Vol1)- Created C# gameplay script that captured meshes of live performance of Teflon, and rapidly spun clones of them in sequence around him. This created the illusion of many animated characters with static meshes as frames.
-
Endless Tunnel effect (Vol2)- Created an editor tool that spawned meshes along a custom spline, with gameplay animating those meshes with user inputted parameters
-
Portal room (Vol2)- Set up various shots captured by Render Textures, then mapped to cards in windows, as well as a C# script to replicate relative camera movements in each of the capture scenes, to give illusion of a portal
